ABOUT US
| “Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must undergo the fatigue of supporting it.” —Thomas Paine, The American Crisis The Northeast Ohio Foundation for Patriotism (NEOPAT) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization created to honor patriots who serve, or have served, in the armed forces by working to minimize the sacrifices the soldiers and their families endure. In addition to voluntarily spending extended periods of time away from home and risking injury or death to secure our freedom, NEOPAT has identified that service men and women often return to civilian life with needs that aren’t directly addressed by existing government programs. Immediate family members of those service men and women also join in the sacrifice by taking on added responsibilities such as overcoming financial hardships and dealing with life-changing injury or loss of their relative.Established organizations who are dedicated to assisting these patriots and their families are often overtaxed, undermanned and underfunded which puts limitations on their effectiveness. THUS, THE PRIMARY FOCUS OF NEOPAT IS WORKING WITH AND THROUGH EXISTING ORGANIZATIONS TO SUPPORT DESERVING MILITARY PERSONNEL & FAMILIES WHO NEED ASSISTANCE.
NEOPAT is also dedicated to promoting patriotic acts that will deepen the sense of patriotism locally. By encouraging non-military individuals and families to share time, talents and finances to benefit local patriots and creating interaction opportunities between civilian and military families, NEOPAT can highlight the importance of patriotism for generations to come. |
